British Prime Minister David Cameron arrived in the island a short while ago at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.

Cameron is accompanied by Justine Greening, from the Department for International Development.

Cameron was greeted by Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller and British High Commissioner to Jamaica David Fittion.

Opposition Leader Andrew Holness, Justice Minister Mark Golding and Minister of Transport and Works Omar Davies are also among those gathered.

Cameron is on a one-day official visit to the island where he is expected to address a joint sitting of the houses of Parliament on Wednesday.
