Internationally acclaimed reggae artist and repeat Bermuda visitor Maxi Priest got a special welcome at the Cabinet Office from Michael Dunkley.
Maxi Priest, set to perform with fellow reggae star Shaggy on Saturday night’s America’s Cup Jam, got a letter of appreciation from the Premier for sharing “music with a message”.
“Maxi, you are no stranger to our Island, having visited us many times previously,” the letter added.
“You have deep connections to Bermuda and we truly consider you a member of our community. You have brought incredible joy to so many people around the world with your music … and my family and I and all of Bermuda are really looking forward to your performance.”
With a weekend of America’s Cup events looming, Maxi Priest thanked the Island for supporting him and promised an “unforgettable experience” at Saturday’s show.
