Rumors, the debut album from singer Kranium, is currently number six on Billboard’s Reggae Album Chart with first-week sales of less than 1,000 copies.
The album was released digitally by Atlantic Records on October 16. It has songs produced by Ricky Blaze and LMR Pro.
There has been considerable buzz surrounding Kranium and his album since he signed with Atlantic early this year.
Driven by the minor hit song, Nobody Has to Know, Rumors has 12 tracks including Lifestyle, Between Us, Stamina and a remix of Nobody Has to Know featuring Ty Dolla Sign.
Kranium (real name Kemar Donaldson) is originally from Montego Bay. He migrated to Florida 10 years ago before settling in New York.
Nobody Has to Know is his biggest hit to date, having topped the iTunes Reggae Chart and several regional charts between 2013 and 2014. His follow-up was Lifestyle.
Nobody Has to Know’s promising showing on regional charts attracted executives at Atlantic. But it has to date sold a disappointing 60,000 copies.
It is currently in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Digital Reggae Singles chart. It has been in that table for the past 96 weeks.
