Dancehall artist Jah Vinci is now giving thanks for eluding injury after being involved in a car accident on the weekend.
The accident happened about 2 p.m. on Saturday, while the artist was travelling from a show in Gutters, Montego Bay, St James.
According to a spokesperson, the car Jah Vinci was in spiralled out of control and collided at the roundabout in the Catherine Hall area in St James. The artist was not the one driving when the accident occurred.
The spokesperson said the singer was on his way to another event in Portland, where he was also set to perform the same morning when the accident happened.

A member of Jah Vinci’s team received cuts and bruises from the accident, but the artist only hit his head and left the scene feeling dizzy.
The artist expressed gratitude for surviving the accident injury free.
“I just want to thank God we are still alive, things could have being worst, me and my team could have died,” said Jah Vinci.
Jah Vinci, whose given name is Andre Rhoden, got his break in 2008 as part of Vybz Kartel’s Portmore Empire. He cut ties from the outfit in 2011, and embarked on an independent career.
The singer said he is still in high spirits and will continue to promote his newly released single, One Day, on the Tears of Joy rhythm produced by TJ Records.
