With his father and older brother launching albums this year, singjay JuJu Blood drops his debut set at Club View in St Andrew.
Titled D’Yung Veteran, it has a number of guest appearances from his father Junior Reid and brother Jawada. “It’s a great feeling knowing that I’m doing what I really love. It really means a lot to me, I’ve been working on this album for over two years,” JuJu Blood told the Jamaica Observer.
Weh Mi Come From, the lead song, is a family affair. It features Jawada and is produced by their younger brother Adoney Reid. D’Yung Veteran follows the launch of Junior Reid: The Living Legend in August and Start The Movement by his brother Yung Jr in September.
According to JuJu Blood, D’Yung Veteran, reflects his influences.
“I listen to all types music yuh nuh; I’m a free spirit Rasta youth. I listen artiste like Toian, Ellie Goulding, Israel Vibration, Junior Reid, Hugh Mundell I Wayne,” he said.
