HAMILTON, Bermuda (CMC) — A flight heading to Jamaica from Germany was diverted to Bermuda on Sunday so a sick passenger could be taken to hospital.

An airport duty officer reported that Air Berlin flight 7356 arrived at the LF Wade International Airport at about 3:35 pm local time.

The flight was diverted because of a sick male passenger, who was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The man’s nationality and his condition were not immediately known.

 The Airbus A330-200 had 282 passengers and 12 crew, and was en route from Munich to the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica.The plane left Bermuda at about 5:10 pm for the 1,250-mile onward journey to Jamaica.
