The Game—

RAPPER The Game has slammed Madonna’s “joke” $10,000 donation to the Michigan town of Flint amid a water crisis revealing he has made a $1million donation.

“I just figured Madonna has gotta be close to a billionaire,” The Game, whose younger sister lives in the crisis-hit town, said on TMZ Live. “I just thought that the $10,000 was sort of a joke to me. No one else has to share that opinion or feel like that. I just felt like if we’re going to donate some water, let’s donate some water.”

Residents of Flint complained for more than 18 months that their water was contaminated.

After an emergency city manager switched Flint’s water supply to Flint River water in 2014, the corrosive water caused lead to leach from old pipes, and elevated lead levels were discovered in children.

“Most celebs on here faking using the word “Pledge” in their so-called donations are not fooling anyone! The truth is the population in Flint, Michigan is about 105,000 people & it takes at least 9 bottles per person a day just to use to bathe, brush their teeth, drink & cook with,” he wrote in Instagram post with a screengrab of his bank statement showing the donation.

SLAMMED: Madonna

“So on behalf my charity @TheRobinHoodProject I am donating $1,000,000 in water bottles. $500,000 coming out of my own pocket (which is everything I’ve made on tour up to this point) & the other 1/2 being met by@AvitaWater.”

Experts are estimating that at least 8,000 children under the age of six may have suffered permanent brain damage after being exposed to extremely high levels of lead in the city’s water supply.

The Game said he’s partnered with Avita Water Corp. because it’s based in Michigan, making it easy to get the bottled water to where it’s needed.

“You got all these water companies all around the world, and people saying they’re donating water, but don’t even know how hard it is to get water into Michigan because of what’s going on with the snow and blizzards and all of that,’ he said on TMZ Live. “I figured we’d partner up with Avita because they were right there in Michigan and we could sort of expedite the process,” he explained.

The rapper’s donation follows that of music mogul P Diddy who partnered up with actor Mark Wahlberg, Wiz Khalifa and Michigan native Eminem, to donate one million bottles of AQUAhydrate water to the town.

A statement released via Diddy’s news platform REVOLT added that the company was “working closely with Michigan state and emergency management in a long-term commitment until the water issue is resolved”.

The Game has now challenged other celebrities to “match my million” and to stop “talking and trying to make yourself look like a humanitarian”.

“I donate money all the time & it comes out of my pocket & never once have I written anything off on my taxes because that’s not why I do it !!!!!!!! So, if any other celebrity wants to MATCH MY MILLION here’s the site where you can donate http://selfmadefoundation.org or pick your own..JUST MAKE SURE THE WATER ACTUALLY GETS TO THE PEOPLE WHO NEED IT,” he wrote.
