KY-MANI Marley has signed a deal with VP Records’ subsidiary VPAL to distribute his album Maestro in Europe.
Donovan Williams, label manager at VPAL, said the set will be released in March digitally — on compact disc and vinyl. The 11-track Maestro was released last June by Marley’s Konfrontation Muzic.
In an interview with the Jamaica Observer in November, the 39-year-old singer said Europe is his strongest market, particularly France.
Maestro includes the songs Get High and All The Way.
Launched in 2009, VPAL partners with artists and producers to distribute their music through VP’s network of 600 online and mobile destinations in 100 territories. The company earns a percentage of sales. Last year VPAL distributed albums such as Israel Vibration’s Play It Real,Urban Poet from Junior Kelly, and Diamond Sox by Iba Mahr.
