ST JAMES, Jamaica –

Opposition spokeswoman on Information Olivia “Babsy” Grange says that the police has confirmed that two people were killed during the shooting which prematurely ended tonight’s Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) mass rally in Sam Sharpe Square, Montego Bay, St James.

The two were understood to be among at least four people shot during the incident.

However, there was no information as to what caused the shooting and whether those who were shot were part of the rally or invaders.

Opposition Leader, Andrew Holness, said that while he is disappointed that the JLP mass rally was prematurely ended by gunshots, it would not stop the Opposition party’s election campaign.
