Beres Hammond—

Crowd favorite Beres Hammond will headline the Groovin In The Park show scheduled for June 26 at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York.

It will be the singer’s third appearance on the annual event. He previously performed in 2012 and 2014.

“Based on calls to our office, emails we have received over the past seven months and feedback on all our social media platforms, Beres is by far the most requested performer by fans. So we had no choice but to book him this year,” said Christopher Roberts, CEO of show promoters Groovin Inc.

Roberts did not disclose the other acts for this year’s event. The 2015 show had a strong cast of Morgan Heritage, Luciano, Capleton, Cocoa Tea, Lt Stitchie, Billy Ocean and Michael Bolton.

This year is the sixth staging of Groovin In The Park, which has become a calendar event for West Indians in the Tri-State (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) area.
