A Jamaican woman is facing drug smuggling charges after getting caught at JFK airport with cocaine she hid inside coffee bags on Wednesday.

Sherese Lee Ann Drake, flying from Montego Bay, Jamaica, arrived at JFK and presented herself for examination, when officers found a plastic coffee bag that contained a white powder, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a press release.

Drake was taken to search room where officers found two bags of coffee, both which tested positive for cocaine, according to the CBP.

Three pounds in total were seized by Customs, with an estimated street value of $50,000.

“This seizure is another example of our CBP officers being ever vigilant in protecting the United States from the distribution of illicit drugs,” said Robert E. Perez, Director of CBP’s New York Field Operations.

Drake was arrested and turned over to the Port Authority Police Department.

She will be prosecuted by the Queens District Attorney’s Office.
