United States-based reggae singer/songwriter JoJo Mac recently signed a contract to record a single for California-based R&B label Lujon Records.

“I am looking forward to working with Jermaine Sinclair and Dee Johnson of Lujon Records. These guys know how the business works, but I am even more impressed with their enthusiasm for the project,” she said.

The deal with Lujon Records was brokered by Janice Binns and Jaamal Jarrett of the Texas-based artiste management agency Forward Management Entertainment.

JoJo Mac got a major boost in her recording career in 2002 under the guidance of legendary record producer, the late Clement ‘Sir Coxone’ Dodd for whom she recorded 22 songs.

In recent times, she has been working with the United Kingdom-based veteran reggae producer Lloyd ‘Pickout’ Dennis, for whom she has recorded several stand out singles, including Dread Out Deh, Blazin and All Night.

“I’ve really done well working with ‘Pickout’. Most of the songs I’ve recorded for him have helped to earn me a growing fan base in the UK and Europe,” said the artiste.

She recently released a new single, War, on the Majestic rhythm produced by Smart Kid Records. “It’s a powerful song. I’ve been getting a lot of positive feedback about it.”
