Super Black—

Now 50, he has been unable to duplicate his finest moment.

Born Howard Black, Super Black is from the Maxfield Avenue area of Kingston. He began recording in the early 1980s, hanging out and recording for legendary engineer/producer Osbourne ‘King Tubby’’ Ruddock.

His break came with James who, like Ruddock, worked out of the Waterhouse community. .

Deh Wid Yuh hit during a purple patch for James who had acts like Admiral Bailey, Shabba Ranks and the production duo of Steely and Clevie in his camp.
