Singer Ed Robinson returns to the music scene with The Blame Game, which he believes is one of his best songs to date.
It was co-produced in 2009 by Steely and Clevie, shortly before Steely’s death that year. Luciana Maneri, Robinson’s manager, is also a co-producer.
“I’m not one of those musicians who like to beat my chest and say that every song I make is going to be a hit. I just like to make the music as best as I can for the people. After it’s released, it’s up to them to decide if it’s a hit,” said Robinson.
The Blame Game is scheduled to be released on July 8. It will be part of Robinson’s seventh album which is currently in production.
“I’ve recorded several tracks already and I still have some more to work on. We’re not rushing the process as I want to maintain a certain standard with my music,” he said.
Robinson started his career on the north coast hotel circuit before relocating to New York in the 1980’s. His breakthrough came in 1991 with a cover of Bob Dylan’s classic Knocking On Heaven’s Door.
