Detectives in the Kingston Eastern Division have listed the consistently controversial dancehall artist Tommy Lee Sparta, real name Leroy Russell, as a person of interest.
Russell is wanted for questioning in relation to a shooting on Saunders Avenue, Kingston 2, and is being asked to report to the Elletson Road Police Station at 16 Elletson Road, Kingston 16, on or before Monday.
According to the artist’s management, Tommy Lee Sparta has been busy preparing for an upcoming tour in October and November, and therefore would have no time for nefarious activities.
“The only thing the lawyer told us to tell you is that this is a lie. The lawyer is going to deal with it,” the artiste’s management told THE WEEKEND STAR via the phone.
No further comment was given on the matter.
Rohan Smith, otherwise called ‘Dawg’, is also listed by the Kingston Eastern Division detectives as a person of interest, and is wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of Woman Corporal Judith Williams, who was killed on April 28.
