Magic!

TONIGHT Moon Palace Jamaica Grande in Ocho Rios, St Ann, is scheduled to stage its third in a series of live performances. This evening’s headliner is is the Canadian reggae fusion band Magic!

The band, which comprises of songwriter and producer Nasri Atweh, Mark Pellizzer, Alex Tanas and Ben Spivak, recently released its second studio album titled Primary Colours. It is the follow up to their 2014 effort Don’t Kill the Magic, which sold over 40,000 copies in the United States.

Fuelled by their global hit Rude, Magic! toured North America and Europe with Maroon 5 and collaborated with the likes of Shakira and David Guetta, among others.

“After hosting a variety of unforgettable performances ranging from Usher and The Beach Boys to Broadway on Ice and The Illusionists, the Moon Palace brand has set a remarkably high bar for entertainment offerings within the industry.

Following last year’s successful launch of our first property outside of Mexico, Moon Palace Jamaica Grande the company seeks to further cultivate Palace Resorts Entertainment in 2016 and beyond by consistently offering our guests access to diverse, A-list artists such as OMI, Shaggy and MAGIC! as part of the all-inclusive experience,” said Gibran Chapur, executive vice president of Palace Resorts.

In February, OMI kicked off the Moon Palace Jamaica Grande entertainment line-up. In April, Shaggy was the featured act.

This will be Magic’s second performance in Jamaica, having performed at the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival in January 2015.
