London-based singer Ras Charmer has two new songs on the market: Can’t Let It Go and Bills — both released by VPAL Music.
The songs are produced by the Peckings label out of West London, known for producing British singer Bitty McLean’s outstanding 2005 album, On Bond Street KGN JA. Bills, a collaboration with Tasonia, is done for the Zion Charm label. Ras Charmer is looking to break into new markets with the songs.
“I have sang on R&B, hip hop and soul rhythms, but my message of truth and reality always remains the same, which is upliftment for the people. At present we are in talks with some promoters and have some shows in the pipeline in the Caribbean, US, Europe, and Africa,” he said.
Born Curt Crutchley in Kingson, Ras Charmer was raised in St Thomas and Lawrence Tavern.
He has been recording since the late 1980’s, starting with Togetherness Records.
That label produced his debut album No Mystery. While living in Switzerland, he recorded his second album, Rastafari Fulfillment, in 2004.
