JUNIOR Cat, known for hardcore dancehall songs like Funeral Bag and Deportee, recently released Glorious Things, his first inspirational single.
“It is just a positive song that explores a lot of inspirational topics. It talks about the last days and so on. Also, it is a tribute song to the late grandmother of the producer. She was an inspiration to myself and others and she passed away last year,” Junior Cat said.
He plans to promote Glorious Things during an August 26-28 trip to the United Kingdom with hot singer, Nesbeth.
Junior Cat, whose given name is Ricardo Maragh, is the younger brother of influential deejay Super Cat. Both grew up in the Kingston community of Cockburn Gardens and got their start on sound systems alongside Early B, Puddy Roots, Nicodemus and Little Twitch.
His debut song, Never Diss The Program, was produced by Lloyd ‘King Jammy’s James.
