The New York branch of the Twelve Tribes of Israel celebrates its 40th anniversary with two shows, on September 5 and 6, in Queens.

The first takes place at its headquarters on 121-17 Farmers Boulevard. The second will be held at Royal Chateau Hall.

Both will feature traditional drumming, music from the Twelve Tribes of Israel sound system, and performances by artists with ties to the organisation.

Sister Carol, Sangie Davis, Cherry Rock, Orthodox Issachar, Leroy Sibbles and Freddie McGregor are some of the acts scheduled to perform.

 The Twelve Tribes of Israel was founded in 1968 in Kingston by Vernon “Gadman” Carrington. It has 17 offices worldwide.
