Jesse Jendah—

IN a 30-year career, Jesse Jendah has not done many love songs, but Kween Of The Morning Star has given him a rare mainstream hit.

The single is number one on The Foundation Radio Network’s chart, an influential reggae table in North America, and has entered the South Florida Chart in the No.24 position.

Jendah, who has established an hardcore roots following with songs like Africa A Mi Land and Rude Bwoy Remember, acknowledged his base has grown with ‘Kween’.

“It has magnify I profile as a protector of Royal Hempress and kweens as mama power of Iration. It has expanded I base, especially among all the Royal Hempress and kweens who serve Ras Tafari, Kween Makeda, Saba of Sheeba and the Kush Madonna to whom the Pope bow to every morning,” he said.

Jendah cited a flood of songs denigrating women influenced him to write Kween Of The Morning Star, which was produced by California-based Infinity Records.

He describes the follow-up, Hempress Of The Nile, as another ‘Rasta love song’.

It is produced by Ras Vision. Born and raised in Vere, Clarendon,

Jesse Jendah has been recording since the 1980’s. He was part of producer Philip ‘Fattis’ Burrell’s Xterminator label alongside Luciano and Sizzla. He is currently managed by Mightyful13 Records.
