Celebrities come out in numbers for world premiere screening on the fastest man ever
THE MAN: Usain Bolt—
IF THERE were any other premieres taking place in London’s West End last night it would have been difficult to register on the celebrity radar such was the clamour for tickets to the screening of I Am Bolt which took place at the Odeon.
Nine-time Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt, 30, swaggered onto the red carpet in Leicester Square looking every bit the sporting icon the world has come to know and love.
Surrounded by a bevvy of high class babes for an official photo shoot one minute and signing autographs for the hoard of fervent fans the next, Bolt, aside from the freezing cold weather, was in his element last night.
The hard work and dedication that has seen the Jamaican rise from Trelawny in Jamaica to the dizzy heights of super star status was laid bare in the documentary which is available to download and on DVD and Blu Ray.
Celebrities and sports stars in attendance included heavyweight boxer David Haye, Hector Bellerin of Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas. Good friend Mo Farah who also has his screening coming up soon was also at the Odeon along with singer Fleur East, reggae artist Sean Paul and former Spice Girl Geri Horner to name a few.
Bolt, who declared he’ll only be running in the 100m next year to give the fans one more chance to see him live, has already declared that he will retire next season after the World Championships which take place back at the London Stadium.
Tickets for the 2017 World Championships went on sale this morning.
