Carla Gullota, Busy Signal’s booking agent for Europe, told THE STAR that the artiste will spend a short time in the United States before returning to Jamaica. She said that he will then jet off to Europe where he will perform at 17 shows between January 28 and February 21.
“He is very popular in Europe. He is one of the most requested artist,” Gullota said, while adding that Busy has not been there since 2014.
“He was needing a sabbatical. He wanted to concentrate on all the stress and trauma that he went through so he took a break,” she said.
The European tour will see Busy going to countries such as Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and Finland.
Gullota said Europe is eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Nah go a Jail Again star.
“I am very happy for him. I promote him and for him for several years and I am around him during the good times and the bad times. This is the good times and we have to be happy for what is happening now,” she said.
Busy Signal’s voluntary return to the US is another stage of his life which saw him being arrested at the Norman Manley International Airport in Jamaica in May 2012 on an extradition warrant. He was subsequently locked up in US federal prison for two months for absconding bail.
“Busy is special. Busy has a wonderful voice and a big talent and so he was deserving of a second chance,” Gullota said.
