EMERGING singer Samantha Strachan is getting a career boost with cover of the single Wishing On A Star.
The track is being picked up by local disc jocks, after being played by jocks in New York and Miami. It has also made the Foundation Radio Network Top 30 Music Chart.
“The feedback so far has been very good. The song is resonating with the listening audience and those that I have been fortunate to perform for. I can ask for no more at this stage of my career,” she said.
Produced by drummer Sly Dunbar on Taxi Records, Wishing On A Staris a 1977 hit song from American group Rose Royce. The single is being distributed by Zojak World Wide and is available on all digital platforms.
This is not Strachan’s first recording tribute to American acts. She has also has covers of Aretha Franklin’s One Step Ahead, Until You Come Back To Me and Knock On Your Door .
