Roots singer Zacheous Jackson is imploring the youths to take pride in their appearance with his song Pull Up Oono Pants.

Produced by Red Ground Jamaica Music, it was released in February. He hopes it will discourage the sagging pants trend that is popular among young men.

“I want the youths them to know that this style is really unacceptable. It is not a good look an’ as our elders in Jamaica would say, ‘dem fava heng pan nail’,” said Jackson, who was born in England to Jamaican parents.

He keeps in touch with Jamaica and its music scene through frequent trips, especially to Westmoreland where his family has strong ties.

Jackson has been recording since 1985. He released his debut album The Truth Shall Be Told in 2010.

A number of singles earned him slots on shows in the United Kingdom, Poland, Spain, and Turkey.

His songs include My Woman, Give Thanks, Way Out, Israelite Arise, and Conscious Music.
