Bunny

The thanksgiving service for Arthur “Bunny” Robinson could be held early next month, according to Joyce Robinson, his partner of 39 years. “It will be the early part of June. Interment will be in the Meadowrest Memorial Gardens in St Catherine,” said Robinson.

Bunny Robinson, one half of the duo Bunny and Scully, died in the University Hospital of the West Indies on Tuesday. The 81-year-old lost the battle to multiple myeloma, a form of bone marrow cancer. Robinson, a peanut vendor, was a fixture at football matches throughout the Corporate Area.

“He loved his stew peas; he loved it with tripe and cow skin and pig tail. He loved his food, but most of all he loved his children and he knew how to make anyone laugh, even if they were going through a serious situation,” said Robinson.

Those are just a tiny fraction of her fondest memories.

“We have been together for almost forty years and he was a really great partner,” she said.

Along with lifelong friend, Noel “Scully” Simms, Robinson was part of the vocal duo Bunny and Scully.
