Come Tuesday, June 20, the life and works of retired veteran broadcaster Alan Magnus will be celebrated by a slew of prominent entertainers at a free live music concert at Jacob Place, King’s Plaza on Constant Spring Road in St Andrew.

Musical tributes will be paid to the recently retired Magnus, who for close to half a century hosted the Good Morning Man show on Radio Jamaica. Magnus, who recorded the popular vintage number Flying Machine, will be saluted by the likes of Boris Gardner, Ken Boothe, Charmaine Lemonius, Mary Isaacs, Lloyd Parks among others.

“Alan Magnus is musical in anything that he does, and also he is right here at Jacob Place every week as he is a supporter of the live music that we have here,” said Mike Whitelock, operator of Jacob Place Restaurant/Lounge (formerly Blue Essence).
