Roots-reggae singer Droop Lion recently released his debut studio album called Ideologies. Produced by Free People Entertainment, the set comprises 14 tracks, including Have You Ever Seen The Rain, a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival band’s original; Screaming; Leaders Sell Out; and Jah Wind Is Blowing.
“It is a dynamic of music where we fused and intertwined sounds but keep it roots-reggae. This album is a composition of meditation and one that leaves the listeners in deep thought. This is an album that will make reggae great one more time,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
Droop Lion has high expectations for Ideologies and hopes it will break musical barriers.
“Where much is given, much is expected. We put in the work so we really hope it will manifest the right way and touch the hearts and minds of listeners worldwide,” he said.
Ideologies was officially released on May 19.
In promoting the album, the Rastafarian singer will embark on a five-week media tour of Europe, starting June 16. The jaunt is expected to see him and his team making stops in England, France, Finland, and Poland. The promotion will continue in the United States and sections of the Caribbean later this year.
