Top: Sean Paul
Bottom: Shakira—

Over the years, reggae act Sean Paul has delivered some memorable collaborations with female acts.Among the stand-out duets are Baby Boy with Beyonce; Breathe, featuring Blu Cantrell; Come Over with Estelle, I’m Still in Love with Sasha, How Deep is Your Love with Kelly Rowland, and the current hit Rockabye featuring British electronic music group Clean Bandit and vocalist Anne-Marie.

Sean Paul seems set to continue his string of successful collabs as he is now working with Colombian pop sensation Shakira on a new song titled Mad Love.

According to reports, Sean Paul sees working with the Waka Waka hitmaker is a “dream come true”.

“I got something kind of more poppy coming in a little while, with Shakira. The song’s called ‘Mad Love’, it’s about being mad and having love, it’s more sexy. It’s not about love, it’s the sexiness,” he is quoted as saying.

“We’ve always wanted to work together, and I was like, ‘Yo, I’ve always wanted to work with you!’ She was like, ‘I’ve always wanted to work with you too,” Sean Paul said.

Mad Love is produced by French DJ, record producer, remixer, and songwriter David Guetta, the man behind mega hits such as 2013’s When Love Takes Over by Kelly Rowland.
