The Portmore toll plaza in St Catherine.—

Motorists who use the Portmore Toll Road; and the Spanish Town, Vineyards and May Pen legs of Highway 2000 will have to pay more come July 1.

Information reaching our news center is that the tariff  will increase by 10 per cent for all classes of vehicles.

This means class one vehicles, which include motor cars and some small SUVs, will now pay $220 to use the Portmore Toll Road; $160 at the Spanish Town Toll Plaza; $440 at the Vineyards Toll Plaza at $110 at May Pen.

Trucks and trailers will pay $670 to use the Portmore Toll Road; $440 at Spanish Town; $1,210 at the Vineyards Plaza and $360 at May Pen.

The rates were increased by the same percentage last July.
