Prezident Brown announced the release of his new album, Journeyman Pilgrimage. The self-produced album is distributed by Zojak World Wide.
“For me this album differentiates itself from my past albums, with a matured vocal presence and delivery,” says Brown. Two videos are currently in production for, “Life is The Gift” and “Respect and Manners.”
The fourteen-track album is a follow-up to his 2012 release of Sound Is From Creation. Journeyman Pilgrimage rhythmically flows as a steadfast story of personal experience and life lessons, with conscious lyricism and abundant goodness. His gruff, rootsy vocals shine forth on original tracks ranging from the hard and upbeat to softer, acoustic guitar and Nyabingi drum-laced ballads.
Contributing to the project Charles Carbone and Teresa Rolitz (Musicraiser). Rivah-Jordan Bailey (Soundkillaz Production), Barry O’Hare (W.A.M Production), Devon Bradshaw and Ian Coleman (Axx Music Production). Journeyman Pilgrimage features Dean Frazer and Nambo Robinson on horns, Michael Fletcher on bass, DJ U Brown on vocals and Addis Pablo on harmonica.
The opening track, “Bullhead Mountain,” describes what Brown refers to as a countryman who always has food, as it’s picked right from the trees; the album then moves naturally through to the last track, “Talking,” which serves as a reminder to always choose one’s words wisely, as they carry great power.
Each song flows as a river of wisdom, filled with Brown’s embodiment of conscious lessons and present living, from the food that nourishes our bodies’ temples to the act of showing respect to the entire human race. All of these characteristics are embedded in the heart, soul and presence of the well-loved and respected Clarendon, Jamaica singer.
From a young DJ with Jack Ruby’s Hi-Power Sound System to a seasoned mainstay of a steadfast global career, Prezident Brown resonates with the heart and soul of mankind. Prezident has toured globally throughout Germany, Jamaica, the U.S. performing at renowned music festivals, such as Rebel Salute, Reggae Sunsplash, Reggae Sumfest, Sting, Reggae Jam, Summer Jam, Chiemsee Fest, Reggae Geel, Sierra Nevada World Music Festival and Reggae On The River.
