A US based truck driver and a Hanover businessman have been charged in connection with Wednesday’s multi-million dollar cocaine seizure in Westmoreland.

Denmark McGhie, 31, of  Welcome in the parish and 36 year old truck driver Damion McLean of  Florida and Westgate Hills, Montego Bay, St. James, were charged yesterday.

They are booked to appear in court later this week.

The men were arrested after narcotics detectives intercepted a car driven by McGhie along the Cave Main Road.

The vehicle was searched and eight kilogrammes of  cocaine with a street value of  nearly $10 million seized.
