GOSPEL singer Minister Marion Hall, formerly Lady Saw, said she is continuing to spread Christ’s message with her latest video I Had Jesus.
Shot on location in Jamaica, the project was directed by Ariff and Davine Butler.
“I hope women and men who have been abused… raped, beaten, battered, and who were forced into prostitution can watch this video and know that God is able. He’s a restores. No matter your past, God can heal and restore,” she told Jamaica Observer.
“I want people know that whatever happened in your past, you cannot change that. But know you should walk and hold your head high, as God can heal.”
Hall said she provided the video’s concept. It was completed late last month.
I Had Jesus is taken from Hall’s 14-track debut gospel set When God Speaks, which was released July 22 last year. A video for the single from that set, Room In My House, has been doing the rounds since September 2016. The album peaked at number four on the Billboard Reggae Chart in May of this year.
The gospel artiste said she is currently working on a new project titled His Grace. No completion date was given.
“I was rushing to put this album together… I have already completed nine tracks, but I’m slowing down to let my fans get the messages and inspiration in When God Speaks. Also, I’ll be doing some local shows in August, so people will be seeing me,” she said.
Hall, as Lady Saw, is the first female deejay to win a Grammy Award and to be certified as a triple-platinum artiste.
In December 2015 she got baptized and began a new music career in gospel music.
