The X Factor winner is finally ready to release new music… Matt Terry is hopping on an official remix of Enrique Iglesias‘ new single ‘Súbeme la Radio’.
YES – Matt and Enrique are going to be on a single together! And that’s not all. Sean Paul is joining them both on the all-star collaboration!
‘Súbeme la Radio’ has already topped the charts in Spain and across the world but it looks as though Enrique is looking for it to have some crossover success. Perhaps Matt could be what the song needs to take off on in the UK. After all, ‘Despacito’ only really took off here after Justin Bieber lended Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi a helping hand. Now it’s the song of the summer.
‘Súbeme la Radio’ will be Matt’s first release since his Ed Sheeran penned X Factor Winner’s single ‘When Christmas Comes Around’. The single peaked at Number 3 in December last year and it was certified Silver shortly afterwards. However, this Enrique and Sean Paul feature will be the first we hear of what Matt has been working on since taking the X Factor crown.
Matt will follow Louisa Johnson’s X Factor winner steps of featuring on a single before releasing his own music and considering that Louisa’s Clean Bandit feature ‘Tears’ sold over 700,000 copies, we think that Matt could be onto a winner with this choice. We have no doubt that this Spanish language banger will scale the charts and make us super excited Matt’s solo music too.
Apparently Matt is no stranger to Spanish language pop either. In an interview with Dan Wootton the star revealed that he lived in Spain with his grandparents for eight years and even idolized Enrique from a very young age. OMG – that is so adorable!
“I used to sing his songs as a kid in my room in English and Spanish.”
We can’t wait to hear the single this Friday!
