Diddy shared his reaction to JAY-Z‘s new album 4:44 and a lot of us shared his reasoning on the landmark project.
The rap mogul shared a video on his Instagram page of himself in the studio while giving Hov some major props as an artist and for releasing an album that resonate deeply with young black men in America.
“This JAY-Z album is JAY-Z’s best album,” Diddy said. “As an artist, you have a responsibility to grow. JAY-Z has inspired me, I inspire people, we all inspire each other. This album is not just an album. 4:44 is necessary.”
Diddy also called on fans to support each other and support our own brands and called 4:44 the best album of the year. “It’s not just an album,” he added. “It’s a change of thinking. It’s a change in the way we think. We gotta support our own brand. We gotta support each other… This n**** JAY-Z is great and that 4:44 album is great. If you don’t listen to it, you’re doing yourself a disservice… JAY-Z’s 4:44 album [is] to me, his best album and the album of the year.”
Diddy pretty much told black men to get a copy of JAY-Z’s album and treat it like a bible. “Everybody ain’t mother**** great and this n**** JAY-Z is great, and that 4:44 album is mother**** great,” Diddy continues. “Especially to the black men you need that like you need the bible and the Quran.”
