With just a few days to go before the event, Percival Blair, promoter of the donkey race, said the beasts are being groomed and the community is being prepared to welcome the hundreds of visitors who are expected to attend.

The event’s popularity was not lost on Everald Warmington, chairman of the Constituency Development Fund Committee of Parliament, yesterday.

Biggest one yet

“Him dweet every year,” Warmington said as he commented about the support to the event that is provided by Member of Parliament for St Catherine North Western, Robert Pickersgill.

Blair, contacted by THE STAR, was over the moon when he heard about the assistance heading to Top Hill.

“We always get a little help but we could always do with more,” Blair said. He said this year could be the biggest one yet.

“People love it. You have people from all, America and Canada coming for it,” Blair said.
