According to Canadian reports, around 9:00 am, 43-year-old Ernest Williamson was on a routine trip to pick up a fuel tank when the tractor rolled into an embankment, wound up in the water and somehow resulted in him being trapped under water beneath the back tire.

His employer, Mike Bergman, reportedly tried to free him but was unsuccessful.

The reports added that Teeterville firefighters were summoned but Williamson was dead by time they arrived.

The Ministry of Labor in Ontario and the Jamaican Liaison Office is investigating.
