Trilla U is calling on Jamaicans who have any information that can assist the investigation into the death of his father to come forward.

The body of the artiste’s 73-year-old father, Thadious Jamieson, was found in bushes along the Simon Main Road in Tredegar Park, St Catherine, yesterday. He was reported missing a week ago.

“The police received an anonymous call reporting a foul odor coming from the bushes. The police called us to the scene and we could identify the clothes and the shoes,” Thriller U told Jamaica Observer shortly after the discovery.

“I am calling on people with information as to what could have happened to my father to just come forward… Call the police, it can be an anonymous call… jus’ call. We’d love that kind of assistance right now. Just put yourself in my shoes. It is eight years after my daughter was murdered overseas and now it’s my father; any information will be appreciated,” the reggae singer appealed.

He said his father’s white Toyota Corolla motorcar — licence plate number 1287 GV — is still missing.

The Spanish Town police are investigating.

Jamieson was last seen alive on the afternoon of Saturday, September 2 leaving a hardware store in the Greendale area of Spanish Town. When he did not return home, the artist and family made an alarm. Last Monday the family announced they were offering a reward of $500,000 for anyone who could offer information that would lead to Jamieson’s safe return.

In a statement on social media, Trilla U expressed thanks for the outpouring of love and support the family has received over the past week.

“My dad is resting in the arms of sweet deliverance. May his memories be the light that shines in our darkest hour. I’m truly disturbed as a result of the way he was viciously and senselessly taken away from his family, especially my mother — his wife. I’m letting the authorities do their job to investigate the murder of my father,” the statement read.

In 2009, Trilla U’s 15-year-old daughter, Nekitta, was murdered in Florida and his wife shot and injured in the incident. Both were vacationing in the United States when a gunman broke into the home of the friend with whom they were staying in Miramar, Florida. Two occupants of the house, Faith Bisasor and her 15-year-old son, Davion Bishop, were also found dead.

Trilla U — a a solo act as well as a member of the quartet LUST — is known for songs including I’ll Prove It to You, Young and She Green, Ain’t No Way To Say I’m Sorry, and I’ll Never Love This Way Again.
