The Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA) says several urns containing the remains of loved ones lie uncollected at the islands two major airports.

The agency, in a newspaper advertisement today, named 19 people as cosignees for the urns and appealed to them to collect the items.

It further warned that failure to do so within a month of the notice will result in the agency taking the necessary steps to hand over the remains to the authorized regulatory body for disposal.

JCA did not state how long the unclaimed urns have been at the airports.
