On Oct. 28, Miramar residents can take in Florida Jam Fest — an R&B and soul festival at the Miramar Ampitheater that was supposed to happen in early Sept. but was postponed.
Florida Jam Fest will feature artists including Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Lenny Williams, Jack Radics and Third World. It will be hosted by actress Jo Marie Payton, a Miami resident recognized for her role as Harriette Winslow on “Family Matters.”
Known as the “reggae ambassadors,” Third World has been pushing its reggae-funk sound since the 70s with singles like “Now That We Found Love.”
The concert will be housed in the city’s 3-month-old amphitheater, which can fit 5,000 people, total.
Florida Jam Fest takes place on Oct. 28 at the Miramar Ampitheater at Regional Park, 16801 Miramar Parkway. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets start at $55.
Tickets are available on the TicketMaster website.
