A star-studded line-up of veterans and young starlets await patrons at the 2017 staging of the GT Taylor Christmas Extravaganza,

The event will unfold on Christmas Day at the Luana Sports Complex in St Elizabeth.

“Things are falling into place nicely ,,so we are expecting another fabulous Christmas Extravaganza,” said George ‘GT’ Taylor, the man behind the popular annual reggae concert. “We have over 25 of Jamaica’s top reggae and dancehall acts, so the fans should have a wonderful time.”

The line-up, which reads like a who’s who in popular Jamaican music, is headed by accomplished international stars such as Sizzla, Beenie Man, Sanchez, Half Pint, Coco Tea and Admiral Tibet, who have performed to rave reviews at the Christmas Extravaganza in the past.

“These are acts that have made their marks over the years and are big fan favorites,” said Taylor. “We also have other accomplished acts on the line-up, so it should be quite exciting.”

Among the younger acts are Tommy Lee, Masicka, Shenseea, Deep Jahi and St Elizabeth native, Laden.

“We always try our best to cater to a wide cross section of fans, so that there is something for everyone in the line-up,” said Taylor. “Like in previous years, we are open to add more artistes as we draw closer to the date.”

Adding to the variety are noted crowd-pleasers such Anthony Cruz, Professor Nuts, D’Angel, and gospel singer Jabez, while the show also has a foreign element with Magnum Kings & Queens of Dancehall sensation Rankin Pumpkin also slated to perform.

Ruff Kutt, arguably dancehall’s hottest band, is booked to provide instrument support. Meanwhile, Taylor has inked a deal with Knutsford Express to transport fans.

“You can travel to and from the event on Knutsford Express from Kingston, Ocho Rios, Montego Bay, Negril and Savanna-la-Mar,” said Taylor. “Persons who travel via this means will get their tickets at a reduced price as part of a package deal.”
