Stone Love’s 45th anniversary is set to close the curtains on 2017 in grand fashion with an all-star line-up featuring Mavado, Aidonia, Sizzla, I-Octane and many more.

The show will ignite Sabina Park on Saturday, December 30, 2017 with an energy harnessed only by reggae and dancehall. The pioneer, Winston “Wee Pow” Powell, is gearing up for what he expects will be another successful staging of this one of a kind reggae experience. With the change of venue from the Red Stripe Oval to Sabina Park, Powell is expecting a bigger and more diverse crowd.

“The people from east & south who normally don’t party in the west will come out in their thousands,” said Powell.

Billy Slaughter, renowned Stone Love selector, is also anticipating a bigger but different experience. He expressed that the difference this year is as a result of the change in venue. However, he is positive that though the crowd will more dynamic, the event will emanate the same high energy.

“This is the 45th year, so it’s definitely going to be special. All the others have been special but this one will be extra special because 45 is a special number,” stated Slaughter.

The talents showcased each year at this major year-end event are in no way strange to the eyes and ears of our Jamaican people. The show has featured household names such as Buju Banton, Beenie man and a number of other popular reggae and dancehall artists. This year an even more dynamic line-up will grace the Stone Love scene, serving the perfect mix of dancehall and reggae. No doubt reggae and dancehall lovers will be pouring into Sabina Park to enjoy the event.

The beauty of music is when it hits you feel no pain and Stone Love is prepared to ring in 2018 with multiple hits. Vibes, energy and good music will be the order of the day.
