Chuck Fenda in performance—

Reggae singjay Chuck Fenda recently returned to Jamaica after a successful Concrete Jungle tour in Europe. The 17-day tour wound its way through countries such as Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Malta, and Austria.

The tour began November 30.

“We did a total of 11 shows in all, three in Germany, two in Switzerland, the whole experience was incredible, the fans were amazing,” Chuck Fenda said.

Chuck Fenda, aka ‘Di Living Fire’, had taken a two-year hiatus from touring Europe, and this created a big demand from his fans as he toured on the strength of his latest album, Concrete Jungle.

“I came back with some fresh music and material that I could present to my fans and it paid off. All the shows in the different venues were full to capacity, the vibes were boiling, Di Living Fire ignite the place,” he said.

Fenda did the tour, which was organised by Malte Eckert of the Multe Schamony Agency, with his own band, the House of Riddim band from Vienna.

“One surprise of the tour was that my song, ‘Warning’, from my previous Fulfilment album, three years after its release, that song is now huge in Europe and Costa Rica. That shows that you cannot rush music, because that song didn’t get justice in Jamaica but it is big elsewhere. Another favorite of the fans was the title track from my new album , ‘Concrete Jungle’ which features Morgan Heritage,” he said.

Chuck Fenda is known for hits such as All About the Weed, Gwaan Plant, and Gash Dem.

“The tour was a big success, I can’t wait to return to Europe,” he said.

Chuck Fenda is billed to perform at this year’s Galiday Bounce in Ocho Rios, St Ann, and Sound Di Alarm on December 31 in Linstead, St Catherine.
