SPICE is the one of several headline acts scheduled for the 2018 edition of St Kitts Music Festival, slated for Warner Park Stadium in Basseterre from June 27 to July 1.
“I am extremely pleased to have such popular artists join the roster for the 2018 St Kitts Music Festival,” said Lindsey Grant, tourism minister in St Kitts and Nevis.
“This event has become well known for featuring top, internationally known acts along with local talent and for showcasing a broad range of musical styles. It has proven to be a successful formula and one we are, therefore, continuing to follow,” he continued.
American R&B singer Patti LaBelle as well as hip hop royalty Lauryn Hill are booked for the event.
Spice has continued to have a strong presence in the local music market, and in 2017 she easily maintained her status, being one of the few females on the front line. Last year, her single Sheet was one of the popular tracks in dancehall.
The St Kitts Music Festival is now in its 22nd year, cementing it as one of the top music events in the Caribbean. Since 1996 over 400 local, regional and international artists have performed. Among the superstars who have previously taken to the stage are Creedence Clearwater Revisited, the Goo Goo Dolls, Billy Ocean, Michael Bolton, Jason Derulo, and John Legend.
