Irie Jam’s Executive VP, Louis Grant—-

To show their commitment to Bob Marley’s life, legacy and cultural significance, Irie Jam Radio will host an ‘earthstrong’ celebration, billed ‘The Birth of A King’, on Tuesday, February 6, at SOB’s Club in Manhattan.

The event will feature the performance of a rising superstar out of Kingston, recording artiste Dre Island, who will make his New York debut. Ironically, the event will be held just a few miles away from the venue of Marley’s last New York performance in 1979 at the world-famous Madison Square Gardens, where Marley out shined headliners, the Commodores.
