Peter Lloyd —

THE video for Woman , Peter Lloyd’s cover of the 1980 John Lennon track, had its premiere on Valentine’s Day.

Released last June, the singer said he pulled the track from the airwaves.

“We realiZed we had something special so my team and I sat and discussed when best to release it. If you listen to the song, it’s a real love song. I think it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day,” Lloyd told Jamaica Observer.

Woman’s video premiered on Female First, a website currently operating in the United Kingdom. Lloyd said he approached the company as his international career started in the region, and they were happy to partner with him. The project was directed by Dameon Gayle of Warrior Films.

“We shot at Round Hill Hotel in Montego Bay and we tried to exploit the beauty around us. It’s a really good concept, and there’s a twist. I can’t reveal too much about the video but there are some stunningly beautiful scenes,” said Lloyd.

Woman is the debut single from the singer’s third studio album, to be released later this year.

“While I don’t have a name for the album yet, this album will reflect me and where I am in my career right now. I am working with the best producers like Dean Fraser and Handel Tucker; I am still confirming more producers that I want to work with also,” he revealed.
