Reggae Month was good to up-and-coming entertainer Tosh Alexander. And although the month has officially ended, the songstress is still on a high following a pair of performances that have cemented her place among the acts to watch out for in 2018.
Her performance at the recently renewed Unplugged series held at Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records and her most recent stint at the Your View Awards have opened the eyes of many who were perhaps sleeping on Tosh Alexander’s talent.
Equipped with her dancers, Alexander wowed the crowd at both events, and is now looking forward to bringing that same energy and perhaps even more to bigger stages, including Reggae Sumfest.
THRILLED AND THANKFUL
Alexander’s team has revealed that the singer has been booked for the annual reggae show, slated to be held between July 15 and 21 in Montego Bay.
Speaking about being added to the show’s line-up, an excited Alexander said she is grateful for the opportunity.
“It has always been one of my goals to be able to perform on major festivals of this calibre,” she said. “I am both thrilled and thankful to be given this opportunity.”
The highly anticipated festival will also feature performances from confirmed acts such as Beres Hammond, Sizzla, Damian Marley, Maxi Priest, Capleton, Aidonia, Popcaan, and Ding Dong.
Recapping her career over the past few months, Alexander expressed pleasure at the current path her career is taking. She added that she is looking forward to the release of several new projects for the month of March.
Aside from the success of her Christmas EP, An Island Christmas, and 911, featuring Ky-Mani Marley, Alexander’s Light It Up was released in January and has been enjoying heavy rotation on the airwaves. The single has caught the attention of famed EDM DJ Rico Bernasconi, who is currently working on a remix of the track.
