AMERICAN Christian reggae band Christafari earns its sixth number one on the Billboard Reggae Album Chart with Original Love .

The group, which includes Trinidadian Avion Blackman (aunt of soca singer Nailah Blackman), was formed in 1989. To date they have charted 10 times on the reggae table.

Christafari’s previous chart-toppers are 2015’s Anthems, 2014’s Reggae Christmasand Greatest Hits Vol 1; 2013’s Reggae Worship: A Roots Revival and 2017’s Hearts of Fire.

Released on April 13 by Lion of Zion Entertainment, Original Love has 14 songs.

Holding firm at number two is Box Full of Steel by The Dubplates, while Roots of Creation re-enters the Top 10 with Grateful Dub, a former number one. Falling from number one to four is Beast From The East by Bumpin Uglies. Good Day (EP) by One Rhythm is new at number five.

One Rhythm is a five-member band from Hilo, Hawaii. Good Day was released April 13 and is distributed by Catapult.

Damian Marley’s Stony Hill drops out of the Top 5 for the first time in its 39th week, falling to number six, while Henricci’s Sister Caro EP slips to number seven.

Chronology by Chronixx is the number eight spot for a second week, while former chart-topper Poetry in Motion by SOJA re-enters at number nine.

After spending a week on top, then falling to number four last week, Love Sick by Romain Virgo is number 10.
