With this recent EP launch, Jameik King is seeking to spread his wings. The St Thomas-based artiste has recently acquired the services of popular producer Mikey Bennett as his mentor and is looking towards conquering the overseas market.

The singjay believes he is ready to present his brand of reggae globally.

“My management team and I are looking forward to some great projects and the overall promotion of my EP — The Genesis. This EP has six of my favorite songs that show my versatility as an artiste so I look forward to growing an international fan base,” he said.

The EP was launched at Triple Century in New Kingston in mid-April and produced on the Under the label Flydie Wise Production imprint. It is receiving a positive feedback.

“It’s having a good reception in St Thomas. I’m looking forward to take it overseas, especially the UK,” he said.

The set includes Paradise, Together as One, One Step, Let Me Love You, and Chasing My Dream. Bennett gave the latter thumbs up.

“Every now and then a song brings not only a smile to your face but puts hope in your heart. As we all chase some elusive dreams we need this kind of encouragement,” he said.  Manager Garthfield Whyte is confident Jameik King’s brand will resonate with listeners.

“Jameik King’s brand is growing and he does positive music so I believe it’s time to promote and push his content to several different markets that love and appreciate reggae music,” he added.
