Kabaka Pyramid—

Kabaka Pyramid enters the Billboard Reggae Album Chart this week at number three, with his debut album Kontraband . It was released on May 25 by Bebble Rock/Ghetto Youths International.

The 16-song set sold 551 copies in its first week. It has collaborations with Damian Marley, Pressure Busspipe, Nattali Rize, Chronixx, Protoje, Akon and Stonebwoy.

VP Records’ long-running various artistes compilation Soca Gold (2018) debuts at number five with 221 copies. The 18-song set features hits from Bunji Garlin (with Shenseea), Fay-Ann Lyons, Alison Hinds, Claudette Peters, Lyrikal and Patrice Roberts.

With 114 copies sold, California band Pacific Dub debuts at number eight with Guide You Home. This is the quartet’s third entry on the Billboard reggae table, having charted in 2010 with To the Sky, EP (peaked at number 12), and Take Me Away, EP (peaked at number three in 2017).

Guide You Home was released on May 25 by Morning House Records.

44/876 by Sting & Shaggy returns to number one, its fifth week in that position. The album sold an additional 5,031 copies last week to bring its tally to 29,385.

Interestingly, 44/876 The Remixes, which contains remixes of tracks from the original album, debuts at number 10. It was released May 25 by A&M Records.

Five weeks @ No.1

Holding the number two spot for a second week is the self-titled album from Iration. Having moved an additional 593 copies, the set has sold 4,014 copies.

Last week’s number one, Rebellion Rises by Ziggy Marley, is number four with an additional 549 copies, a significant drop from the 4,300 copies it sold in its opening week. Rebellion Rises tally stands at 4,859 copies.

Marching Orders by The Green is up to number six with 214 copies to bring its total to 7,629, and Sister Caro EP by Henricci slips from number five to seven with 125 copies.

Damian Marley’s Stony Hill is number nine, selling 91 copies to bring its sales to 20,549.
