Munga Honorebel —
MUNGA Honorebel was granted bail when he appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court in Kingston on Thursday. However, the matter was transferred to the Supreme Court.
It is set for mention on July 3.
Kaysian Kennedy, who represented the entertainer in court, said the move was just “part of the legal process”.
“The Crown Counsel will now prepare the file, and once the matter is ready it’ll go to trial (before a jury),” she told the Jamaica Observer yesterday.
Munga Honorebel, given name Damian Rhoden, is charged with the murder of artiste Cleveland Smith, who was shot dead at 315 Molynes Road, Kingston 20, about 1:00 am on February 12, 2017. The entertainer was arrested on May 27, 2017.
Munga Honorebel, whose career spans nearly two decades, got his break in 2005 when he teamed up with producer Don Corleon. Among his tracks are In My Arms, Flippin Rhymes, and Bad From Me Born.
